Tarzan for a Son

I went to put Judah down on the floor belly first and this is how he stood - for three whole minutes! Someone wanted to act like a little, cute monkey. The photos were taken by Judah's Daddy.

"Me want cards!"

Judah's Locks

Judah's beautiful head of locks has seemed to take on a mind of its own, or maybe, we are finally seeing Judah's hair's true colors if you will. CURLY! Yes, what we thought to be beautiful soft head of pin straight hair has gone oh-so-cute curly in little twists and turns all over his little baby head. Timm and I believe that the weather is the reason we are seeing this massive change his coiffure, but we are not complaining, just loving what we see!

Judah in the Kitchen

I like to have Judah near-by wherever I am.  The kitchen, to some, may not be the safest place for children, but Judah is not extremely mobile yet,  so it is still okay for him to be there with me.  I set up a couple of blankets and toys on the floor for him to have some fun and enjoyment on while I do my wifely duties, and I wanted to share some of those moments with you all.  So here they are =)

"Hmm, what's this?"

"I wonder how it works."

"Maybe if I just bang it on this drum set something will happen."

"Yes, seems as though this is working."

"Ooh! A snail!"

Gotta love the attention span of children.

The Scowl

Judah has been experimenting with many things lately including his mouth, his voice, and even his facial expressions.  His latest facial expression is one to watch for.  If you know him at all, you know that Judah is a mild sweet mannered little baby so you may be surprised by his new expression.  Timm and I call it "The Scowl".

Mommy's Wish List Updated

Hey Everyone,

Check out the new updated Mommy's Wish List on the lower right hand side of the screen.  Judah is growing up SO fast, he is now is 18 months clothing!  Needless to say its hard to keep up with his ever growing little body while we are trying to save for a house, so we are definitely in need of some 18 month summer clothing and pajamas if you happen to have any to spare. Also, if anyone has any hand-me-down skirts for me to wear to church I'd appreciate it.  I only have 3 and we don't have a washer or dryer! Thanks for taking the time to read.  Once again this isn't a post/list to get people to buy things for me or my family but just a note to see if anyone has anything to spare or hand down that they no longer need.  Thanks again!

Love,
Jenn

Welcome to the World Hannah

I know that this is late, but I needed to get permission from the parents before I published this post.   Its hard to get a hold of parents of a newborn, I would know!

This post is dedicated to the newest addition to the family, Hannah Gilbert.  She is just over a month old now and is the first girl baby to be born to the family in our kids generation, meaning to us 20 and 30-year-olds.  She is a beautiful little girl, who believe it or not I still have yet to meet.  She was a surprise blessing to her parents, Angela & Jon Gilbert, who hadn't had babies in about 7 years!  Here are some photos, all taken by others, of the beautiful little girl.

I'm Growing Up

If you haven't seen me in a while, here are all the things I can do, say, and play!

  1. Today I am 10 ½ months old.
  2. I am able to wave hello & goodbye.
  3. I sometimes like to use sign language to tell mommy I want more food & more playtime.
  4. I can say “mama” & “dada” & “baba” = “bye bye”.  Sometimes I might even say “hi”.
  5. I am starting to perform for mommy and do and say the things she asks.
  6. I like to use a hammer correctly and bang the pegs on my peg board.
  7. I have more teeth coming in! A matching pair on top for the two I have below.
  8. I’m not much a crawler but I like to take steps when Mommy or Daddy hold my hands.
  9. Only 1 ½ more months until I turn a 1-year-old. Yay!
