FMF Sadness

Dear Readers,

Sadly I am going to discontinue doing Family Movie Fridays (at least for right now) since well number one, we haven't watched a movie in a long time, due to busy-ness, and number two life is so packed these days between keeping my house in order, working on my jewelry, writing other entries for the blog, and trying to keep up with a growing boy its hard to do much else.  Judah is staying awake longer during the days now, therefore requiring more of my attention and time.  I will occassionally try to write a movie review as we are able to watch films but for now we must say goodbye to FMF.  Thanks to all the supporters and readers of FMF thus far.  Lastly, I am also trying to prioritize my life better for my family and for the Lord.  I think FMF should take on a new meaning: Faithful Mom Forever.

Love,
Jenn

Judah's First Attempt at Origami

Last night Judah decided to explore his Asian roots and experiment with some paper folding.  Naturally because he is one fourth Korean he has the ability in his blood to create beautiful origami.  I told Judah he may want to pick some different paper but I really couldn't convince him otherwise. In the following pictures and captions you will see and read about Judah's first origami experience, which I think came out pretty well considering it was only his first attempt.  Anyway, enjoy the experience and let him know what you think.  Artists love to get feedback!

The process begins.

"Now let's see here...fold this like that..ok got it..."

Deep concentration.

"Ok, Mother, I have completed it."

Finished product.  A (news)paper crane. Not bad I say.

We're so funny.

Prepped & Ready for Baseball Season

Yes, I know, baseball season isn't for another two months practically but hey, Spring Training will be starting soon enough and well, Judah is ready to support his favorite team (by default), the Red Sox!
Check out his game face!

"Tada Mom! I'm ready for baseball season!"

This jersey is actually 3-6 months. I think they got the sizing wrong.

Judah's game face.

Blurry I know, but just look at those cheeks!

"Go Sox! All this excitement is making me tired. "

The Boy Who Could Sit

Judah is now just 11 days away from being eight months old! Wow, time has flown.  During this time, he has had the opportunity to learn & master certain skills.  Amongst many other abilities, so far he is very good at rolling over from his belly to his back and grabbing things to put them straight in his mouth .  Judah's latest endeavor in his physical develop is sitting up all by himself and he is doing a great job.  See for yourself!

"Hmm...which toy to play with?"

Say Hello to Our "New" Car

Friday Timm took the day off of work to get our "new" car from Haverhill.  Yes, Haverhill, MA, a place that should have only taken one and a half hours to get to took three!  There must have been at least six car accidents, which created miles upon miles of backed up traffic. Talk about a driving nightmare.    That was definitely the low point of the day.  But the high points were that Judah slept a lot and was such a good boy the whole day, we arrived there and back safely, had some Chik-Fil-A for lunch (yum!), & finally headed home with our roomy "new" family car.

This is what we came home with:

2004 Pontiac Vibe - Surprisingly a pretty sweet car. Yes we're pumped.

Etsy Shop

As you have probably noticed if you visited my blog or facebook recently you will see that I have hopped on the Etsy bandwagon and am now sharing my work with the world.  Right now I am making and selling unique upcycled and button jewelry and accessory pieces in my shop called TheLookingGlassRoom.  I do plan on adding things such as unique phone charms and book marks in the near future, so be on the look out for that.  If you have an Etsy account feel free to add me to your favorites and heart any items you may like.  Also if you know me I am willing to give discounts on top of free shipping.  Check it out!
