The Carpenter

Today Timm and I picked up a few "classic toys" for Judah.  The three toys we chose were all wooden.  One was a puzzle board, another a shape sorter, and the last one was peg board with a hammer.  Of course we were excited to show Judah his toys and how they worked, and to our amazement he mimicked us almost immediately; it was so precious.  Watch!  (Oh yeah, sorry for the bad lighting; it was taken in doors at night.)

Getting to Know Me

I have been wanting to do this post for a while.  I felt it was time that you all knew a little bit more about me.  Everyone has there own quirky habits, behaviors, and "things".  Here are just a few "things" about me that you may not have known.

Let's start with the simple and move from there:

Favorites
1. My favorite color is Purple.
2. My favorite band is Relient K.
3. My favorite super hero is Superman (by far the best superhero ever!)
4. My favorite food is pretty much anything Korean, even though I do love many other Asian dishes. In terms of dessert I love anything Oreo.
5. My favorite way to pass time is by watching a great movie (usually comedies, I like to keep it light hearted, I cry very easily).

Least Favorites
1. My least favorite food is coconut. (I can't stand the texture or the taste!)
2. My least favorite chore is doing the dishes, especially all by hand. (I know I will get a dishwasher someday, I just need to be patient).
3. My least favorite day is Monday, because then Timm has to go back to work.
4. My least favorite weather is snow, but all weather is permitted by the Lord so I need to be content about it.
5. My least favorite character trait about people is when they are fake.

Oddities
1. I cannot stand it when the tag of the bed sheets is not at the foot of the bed.  It is just the worst being rubbed in the face with a tag *shutters*.
2. I do not like the feeling of my pants riding up my legs when I stretch my legs out in bed, so to remedy that I tuck my pants into my socks to create a "footsie" type pant and then all is well.
3. I often have nightmares that one day I will walk out in public in my self made "footsie" pajama pants.
4.I cannot stand the taste of toothpaste so I have to rinse my mouth out at least 5 times to get the taste out.
5. I also cannot stand being sticky, therefore I thoroughly dislike any kind of glue.

In General
1. I know how to play the flute and piano and can draw in pencil very well.
2. I once lived in CA.
3. I once wanted to be an actress more than anything and even went to a talent agency/school for training.
4. I was saved by grace at the age of 19.
5. I started dating Timm because of nail polish.

Fresh From the Shower

This is what Judah looks like as he is fresh from being bathed, that's right, in the shower.  This boy does NOT like taking baths.  To him it is not relaxing, but a tub of still water where he just sits & gets cold.

Instead, Judah would rather be embraced by the hot rushing water of our 2 1/2 inch shower head. Sometimes he even likes to "grab" the water as its coming down.  See how cute & clean he is!

The Next Cirque Du Soleil Member

It seems as though Judah has no desire to be mobile these days, in terms of crawling that is.  In an attempt to encourage Judah's crawling efforts we have been helping him through this towel method that you are about to see.  This method allows him to naturally want to put his knees under him and perhaps stay that way on the ground.  As you can see Judah would rather practice trying out for Cirque Du Soleil.  See how he gracefully turns himself around and spreads his arms out like an upside down bird, all while holding a green spoon.
